The North Sydney Market is open on the second Saturday of each Month An outdoor market with arts and crafts, clothes and hats, plants, books, jewellery, antiques, bric a brac, freshly made cakes, breads, jams, honey, preserves and produce. There are reflexology and massage treatments, live entertainment from 11.00am to 1.00pm, gourmet food stalls for a delicious lunch in the park. Free art space 'Changeable Art' open all day in the North Sydney Community Centre. On rainy days the market is on the top floor of the Ridge Street car park. The Big Aussie Swap Party

10 November 2009 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Calling all swappers! Come along to the Big Aussie Swap Party in Martin Place, hosted by Monica Trapaga, and get something you want by swapping something you don't. The Swap Party is a fun, free event co-hosted by the City of Sydney and Planet Ark to officially launch National Recycling Week 2009. The Big Aussie Swap party will kick off at 12.30pm in Martin Place. All you need to do is bring up to 3 easy to carry, quality items that you wish to swap such as books, CDs, clothes, bric-a-brac. Exchange each item for one token at our registration desk and then browse, choose, swap and enjoy! The Big Aussie Swap across the countryCouncils around Australia will be hosting swap parties simultaneously at 12:30pm on Tuesday 10 November 2009. Simultaneous swap parties will be happening in: Brisbane, Darwin, Perth, Sydney, Coffs Harbour, Parramatta, and Wollongong. National Recycling Week runs from 9 -15 November 2009.
