VILLAGE FAMILY CHRISTMAS CONCERTS

City of Sydney is holding four free Village Christmas Concerts for families. Pack a rug and a picnic and join hosts Johnny and Liesel for live bands, Christmas carols by Sorelle, great children's performers and to top things off Santa will be dropping by, spreading the Christmas cheer. From 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Saturday 28 November - Elizabeth Bay; Sunday 29 November - Rosebery; Saturday 5 December - Alexandria and Sunday 6 December - Surry Hills.

COOGEE FAMILY FUN DAY

Coogee beach front will come alive with market and food stalls, rides, performances and music between 9am - 5pm. Popular children’s character SpongeBob SquarePants will be on hand to entertain children, also featuring Nickelodeon’s famous Green Slime! The day would not be complete without a visit from Santa Claus, who will also be there to hear children’s Christmas wishes and to pose for photos. Organised by the Coogee Chamber of Commerce, since 1995, the day has raised over $138,000 to support the vital work of the Sydney Children’s Hospital. Volunteers will be circulating on the day with buckets for donations.

Ride Planet Earth

Ride Sydney, part of the Ride Planet Earth project, is one of many Rides taking places all over the globe demonstrating the willingness and capacity for people to take action on climate change. Starting at the iconic opera sails and ending with a big Ride Planet Earth picnic in Centennial Park at One Shot Pond (Musgrove Street), the ride is suitable for families and cyclists of all levels. There's a BBQ at One Shot Pond so bring food, Frisbees, family and friends to celebrate positive living for our planet. If you don't have a bike, join us for the picnic festivities. 11.30am - meet outside Sydney Opera House steps, 12:00pm- cycle together to Centennial Park, 1:00pm- picnic at One Shot Pond, Centennial Park (Musgrove Ave).
