Matching Grants Program

19 April 2010 – 24 May 2010 If you have: - a great idea for a project that would help 'green' the City's Villages - a group of willing participants You could apply for a Matching Grant! Matching Grants are designed to support neighbourhood based groups with the purchase of materials or supplies that will assist them to facilitate small and simple projects that bring the community together. Project examples for this round could include: - Host a seed swap event for all the keen gardeners in your local area - Organise a community co-op of home grown fruit and vegetables - Coordinate a local working bee or community planting day where people can be involved in improving their local village - Organise workshops or garden tours to teach and learn from other local green thumbs We are looking for projects that involve and inspire local residents to get to know each other whilst bringing the City of Sydney's local villages to life.
